Summer Lookbook

This is my first lookbook type of thing so I'm not sure how this is going to go down BUT... I'm going to show you all anyway haha!

So... it was my friends Kiera's 21st Birthday so she threw a little shindig to celebrate.

I had already ordered a swing dress and had a black jumpsuit on hold just in case the English weather turned for the worst. HOWEVER I made the mistake of popping to the shops in the morning and my eye caught a dress in Miss Selfridge. I actually walked past telling myself it would be a bad idea then immediately turned around and swiftly walked in making myself look like a complete nutcase.

Anyway it's a really summery floral midi dress (I absolutely love midi dresses right now - I think they look so sophisticated) and they only had one of my size left. I stood there pondering and thought that not buying it would be tempting fate, wouldn't it? Yes it would.

I paired the dress with some nude coloured shoes from Next and a cream clutch bag which is also from Miss Selfridge. I seem to be going from one extreme to another at the moment - I am either constantly wearing all black or going for really nude pale colours. There's no happy medium with me!

I just wore simple jewellery with this outfit. I'm not one for excessive 'out there' jewellery so I just stuck with my normal everyday wear.

Which is; Tiffany & Co silver band ring, Tresor Paris silver earrings, Tiffany & Co Infinity Bracelet, Tiffany & Co Love Heart silver bracelet and Thomas Sabo Silver Charm Bracelet. I also wore a Tiffany & Co Love Heart necklace and a white gold princess cut diamond ring.

(I love how I say I don't like excessive - but you all know what I mean..I Hope?!)

I really loved this outfit and the material of the dress is so lovely I didn't find myself getting all hot and bothered whilst out.

Australia Part 1 - Sydney

So if you haven't seen my first post you might not know that I spent some time away in Australia.
It was by the far one of the best decisions I have ever made. To just go over there and see some of the world and see a whole new perspective on life.

Of course it was pretty nerve wrecking to begin with - but the life experiences that come from it makes all of that go away pretty quickly once your feet touch on new and exciting grounds.

My first stop was Sydney. A place I had only dreamed about being at the age of 20. I struggled to take it all in at first. I remember the first day I just wandered to the Sydney Opera House and stood in the same spot for about 10 minutes trying to take everything in.

It's amazing how many different things are around in Sydney. There are the most amazing parks dotted about with different wildlife everywhere. I found the Australian alternative to pigeons hilarious they are literally about twice the size with these HUGE beaks and they just strut around the parks like it's nothing! Anyway - there were the cutest birds that we went to feed (I'm not sure what they are called?! But I loved them none the less).

The one week I spent in Sydney was a complete whirlwind. I went on a jet boat around Sydney harbour which was totally surreal, sunbathed at Bondi Beach, took a walk from Bondi to Coogee Beach, went on a party bus, had dinner in the revolving restaurant at the top of Westfields Tower and saw my first ever Australian Shark!

I think you all get your little soft spots when you discover new places and mine for Sydney was definitely Darling Harbour. It is just so amazing, it has really cool bars and restaurants going around the harbour and a small shopping centre. ALSO they have the most amazing pancake restaurant 'Pancakes on the Rocks' I don't know what it is these Australians do but the pancakes everywhere were so good. I actually swear I suffered with pancake withdrawal symptoms when I returned back to the UK.

This is only a tiny bit of my travels and a few pictures but I want to keep dipping in and out of the places and stuff I got up to whilst away in different posts!

If anyone is thinking about travelling my advice - DO IT. If anyone wants any advice just let me know I'll be more than happy to try and help.
